I'm glad you continued to explore the idea of obstruction. I think being aware of the relationship between the surface of the obstruction and the content the obstruction is covering is an interesting way to further your concept. I can't wait to see your final project!
your last photo is amazingly abstract. I love the various grey tones and the the natural forms with geometric forms.
